I am Pro-Testers
As per usual, there are lots of protests under the clock tower in Leicester. There have been bill-boards, leaflets, banners, music, megaphones and more besides for these demonstrators to get their message out.
The majority of Leicester’s people that walk by will take a glance at the writings and move on. A few will accept leaflets or ‘hello-goodbyes’ with the personnel, but sadly most will act oblivious.
Without wanting to lecture any readers here, I think it would be nice if, when next walking past protesters by the tower, you took less than 5 minutes out your day to say hello, pick a leaflet and maybe ask a question.
Mainly, this is, because these people are only expressing their passion. These are usually good causes being shouted, such as the “Free Sam” campaign, or freedom in Iraq and so on.
I’m positive that the people working on these have other things to be doing with their time; I bet they have a career, family to look after, children, hobbies etc etc etc. Instead, they are putting others first, by giving up their time, their money, and their energy to supporting these good causes.
And I think that is worth a quick hello.
