Sunshine, lollipops and rainbows...

Finally a little bit of sunshine! I thought it would be appropriate to write a small something on the beautiful days we are having at the moment as they’re so rare you must catch them while you can!

So get outside! Do whatever you can! By any means necessary! This is England people! ENGLAND! We must be spontaneous, be called mad, and be thankful we did it!

Now I’m not elderly by any means, although my athletic physique says otherwise, but I have found the strangest joys in the most simple of activities lately; swimming, like you used to when you were young, with splashes, the smell of chlorine, and strange little keys you used to tie round your wrist for the lockers.

Bike rides – I got mine out of my garage, get it a quick hose down, tested the brakes etc, and went out for a lovely lunch time cycle. I never realised if you cycle for about 10-15minutes in ANY direction away from the centre of Leicester you find lots of green spaces! It’s brilliant!

Victoria Park is the most fantastic place for a picnic with a group of friends- honestly. It may sound obvious, but text round a few mates and choose a date. Get each person to contribute one thing to the picnic like fizzy drinks, crisps etc so nobody pays all. Bring a rug, and iPod with speakers, and a camera. It’s an unmissable day out – go and get started on that now!

But whatever you do-

Do not sit outside sun bathing, and accidentally fall asleep.

I am so burnt right now.

But only down the front of my arms and legs.

I do look such an idiot.

Don’t laugh.

I know your laughing.
